PEM has started a building of first ever fiber glass fishing vessel in the
island of Ihavandhoo in 2004 with a small group of people in help of few Sri
Lankans. Since then PEM group has come a long way, from a small group of people
in building range of boats from fishing vessel to luxury tourist safari. In 2005
PEM entered to a new horizon winning author contract from Alomoyaed Group from
Bahrain on construction communication sites as part of Wataniya communication
network establishment. In the same year we have been winning many sub-contracts
on building jetty, wood works, engineering, air condition system, kitchen
equipments, plumbing and electrical wiring.

PEM has emerged from a very strong background of workmanship to multi-task investment that has successfully completed many projects and is undertaking major projects in the Maldives. With a work force of over 80 people mainly locals and some foreigners from Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. PEM has achieved a huge amount of success in and construction both boat building industries.
Today, we are fully equipped with the latest equipments and a committed
workforce, to complete projects on time while maintaining the quality of the
project. PEM has proven that it can over come any challenges, to complete the
projects by the deadline, while maintaining the quality of the work
PEM Maldives currently employs over 70 employees and 2 sub contractors throughout the country, including management, administrative and field personnel. The Company is committed to employee safety and training with an emphasis on employee retention. PEM Maldives safety and training policies include; drug-free working environment, routine field safety inspections, and weekly safety meetings for all field employees including continuing education.
